Palm OS Installation and Registration Instructions

Follow this step-by-step process for downloading, installing, and registering Lexi-Comp ON-HAND product(s) on your Palm OS® device.  Before you begin, you will need to have the Palm Desktop software installed on your computer.  The Palm Desktop software can be downloaded from the CD that came with your device or by visiting http://www.palm.com .

Downloading Lexi-CONNECT

1. Visit http://www.lexi.com/downloads
2. Login with your existing e-mail and password.  If you are downloading a demo and do not have an account created with us, click on the 'Create New Account' button.
3. Once the account information is submitted, click on the 'Proceed to Lexi-CONNECT' link under option 1.
4. Click on the 'Download Now' button under 'Installation Instructions' step 1. 

Verify HotSync Username

1. From your PDA's All screen, tap on the HotSync icon but do not sync.
2. A username will be displayed in the top-right corner of the screen.
3. Note the username that is listed.

Note: If a username is not displayed, you may need to perform an initial HotSync on your PDA.

Select HotSync Username in Lexi-CONNECT

1. Connect your PDA to your computer and login to Lexi-CONNECT.
2. Place check marks in the INSTALL column next to the databases you wish to install.
3. Click DOWNLOAD NOW. Select the appropriate HotSync username and click OK.
4. When the downloading is complete, please perform TWO consecutive HotSyncs.
5. After the second sync has completed, your software will be installed, registered and ready to use.

Demo Users: If you are installing a demo on your PDA you will not have a license to for the database.  Simply click “Cancel” on the registration screen and you will begin the demo.
