Android Instructions
You have been provided access to Lexicomp software for your handheld device. To access your software, please use the following instructions and make a note of the preauthorized purchase code for future reference.
Renewing / Demo Customers (Users who have the application installed and registered)
- Tap on the 'Lexicomp' application on your device.
- Tap the UPDATE tab.
- Press the MENU button and tap ADD PRODUCT. (Please note that if it first states "Cancel Update" you will need to tap on "Cancel Update" and then repeat this step).
- Enter the Product Code (see below) and tap DONE. A successful activation message will be displayed. Tap OK to this message.

New Customer Installation (Users who do not have the application installed)
- Ensure you have a strong Wi-Fi or cellular connection.
- On your Android device, tap the PLAY STORE (MARKET) icon and search for 'Lexicomp'.
- Select LEXICOMP and tap DOWNLOAD. When the warning appears, tap the ACCEPT & DOWNLOAD button.
- Tap on the 'Lexicomp' application on your device.
- Please read and accept the license agreement.
- You must register with your organizational email address. If you have an account, enter your organizational email and password and tap SIGN IN. If you forgot your password, enter your email and use the FORGOT PASSWORD button or visit the password reset page. Otherwise, tap on the CREATE ACCOUNT button. Enter your registration information and tap register.
- If prompted, please select SD CARD for database storage.
- Tap on Enter Product Code when message appears.
- An "Enter Product Code" message will be displayed. Tap OK to this message.
- Enter the product code (see above) and tap DONE. A "Successful Activation" message will be displayed. Tap OK to this message.
- Before you can begin accessing your subscription, the databases need to be downloaded.
- Within the UPDATE tab, place check marks next to the databases you wish to install, or tap the SELECT ALL button and then tap BEGIN UPDATE.
- After the update is complete, tap the LIBRARY tab.
- Select a database and begin accessing your Lexicomp On-Hand subscription.
Important Notes
- The Lexicomp On-Hand application for Android requires a strong cellular or Wi-Fi signal for installation. The application may transfer a significant amount of data which could result in charges from your carrier. We recommend that you utilize an unlimited data plan or connect to a Wi-Fi network when installing or updating this product. Please contact your carrier for assistance with your data plan or with utilizing a Wi-Fi connection.
- The application requires an Android powered device running v2.0 or higher, access to the Android Market and 600 MB of available space. To verify you have a compatible version, tap MENU > SETTINGS > ABOUT.
- The Android Market requires you to have a google gmail account. If you do not have a google gmail account, please visit https://www.google.com/accounts/ to create one.
- To ensure your device meets compatibility requirements, please visit: http://webstore.lexi.com/popups/compatibility/popup.html.
- The Add Product button will remain in the Menu list. Once your product code is entered, you will not need to use this button again unless you purchase additional product codes.
- You may receive a "Subscription Expired" message within the next 30 days. This is only alerting you that the 30-day trial you downloaded initially has expired. Your subscription has not expired and will be completely functional after this period.
